Job summary

Confluent Health is seeking a Care Coordinator to provide a warm, organized frontline experience. You will manage patient check-in/out, scheduling, insurance verification, and calls, while supporting referrals and patient records with accuracy and empathy.

You will handle payments, protect privacy under HIPAA, and collaborate with clinical teams to maintain smooth patient flow and a high level of service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in customer-facing roles preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
• Comfortable communicating on the phone with professionalism.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn new systems.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming, professional first impression for patients, visitors, and referrals.
• Handle front desk operations: check-in/out, scheduling, insurance verification/authorization, calls.
• Review and follow up on referrals, update patient records, explain next steps.
• Manage patient flow: confirm appointments, waitlists, cancellations, future visits.
• Collect copays, balances, and other payments with accurate tracking.
• Protect patient privacy and HIPAA compliance in all interactions.
