Job summary

Athletico Physical Therapy in Lexington, KY is seeking a Patient Experience Coordinator (PEC) to ensure accurate patient intake and financial clearance while delivering a seamless front-office experience. You will collaborate with clinic teams and support revenue cycle performance in a full-time role.

The PEC will utilize EMR systems, coordinate with PES and Billing, and help educate patients on payments and digital tools, with ongoing training and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Proficient with MS Office, Outlook and Excel.
• Knowledge of healthcare insurance benefits and coverage preferred.
• Experience with requesting and managing customer payments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an exceptional front-office experience greeting patients and resolving issues.
• Accurately complete patient intake and registration, including eligibility and authorization.
• Educate patients on financial responsibilities and payment options.
• Collect time-of-service payments and meet collection targets.
• Manage clinic scheduling workflows and optimize provider access.
• Monitor KPIs for registration accuracy and patient satisfaction.
• Collaborate with PES, Billing and Clinical teams to resolve issues.
• Utilize EMR systems, dashboards and reporting tools.
• Coordinate communication of patient progress notes to referral sources.
• Organize patient milestone celebrations and community activities.
