Job summary

Athletico Physical Therapy in Maryland is seeking a Patient Experience Coordinator (PEC) to ensure accurate patient intake and financial clearance, delivering a seamless front-office experience while maintaining compliance and data integrity.

You will work with the Clinic Manager and collaborate with clinical teams, supporting revenue cycle performance and coordinating with the PES to resolve issues and optimize scheduling and patient engagement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Excellent customer service skills expected.
• Proficient with MS Office, Outlook and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an exceptional front-office experience by greeting patients warmly and resolving issues promptly.
• Accurately complete patient intake, registration, and insurance verification.
• Educate patients on financial responsibilities and digital tools to improve transparency.
• Collect time-of-service payments and meet collection targets.
• Manage clinic scheduling workflows to optimize provider availability.
• Monitor KPIs for registration accuracy and patient satisfaction.
• Collaborate with PES, Billing, and Clinical Operations to resolve issues.
• Utilize EMR systems and dashboards to track outcomes and support quality improvement.
• Coordinate communication of progress notes with referral sources.
• Organize patient milestone celebrations and community activities.
• Participate in ongoing training to maintain proficiency.
