Job summary

Athletico is seeking a Patient Experience Coordinator (PEC) to ensure accurate patient intake and financial clearance, delivering a seamless front-office experience while safeguarding data and supporting revenue cycle performance.

Reporting to the Clinic Manager, you will collaborate with clinical teams and receive support from the PES. The role requires strong customer service, healthcare admin knowledge, and proficient EMR usage in a busy patient-facing setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1–2 years of customer service experience.
• 1–2 years of healthcare administration preferred.
• Knowledge of healthcare insurance benefits and coverage preferred.
• Experience with requesting and managing patient payments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an exceptional front-office experience and greet patients warmly.
• Complete patient intake and registration with demographic verification and insurance eligibility.
• Educate patients on financial responsibilities and available digital tools.
• Collect time-of-service payments and meet collection targets.
• Manage clinic scheduling workflows to optimize provider availability and access.
• Monitor KPIs for registration accuracy, insurance verification, and patient satisfaction.
• Collaborate with PES, Billing, and Clinical Operations to resolve issues and support revenue cycle.
• Use EMR dashboards and reporting tools to track patient outcomes and improve processes.
• Coordinate communication of patient progress notes and care plans to referral sources.
