Job summary

Athletico Physical Therapy in Catonsville is seeking a Patient Experience Coordinator (PEC) to ensure accurate patient intake, financial clearance, and a seamless front-office experience while upholding compliance and data integrity.

Reporting to the Clinic Manager and collaborating with the Patient Experience Specialist, this role supports revenue cycle performance, patient engagement, and cross-functional teamwork across scheduling, payments, and training to strengthen clinic operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Excellent customer service skills; MS Office, Outlook and Excel proficiency.
• Knowledge of healthcare insurance benefits and coverage preferred.
• Experience with requesting and managing customer payments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an exceptional front-office experience by greeting patients and resolving issues promptly.
• Accurately complete patient intake and registration, including insurance eligibility and authorization requirements.
• Educate patients on financial responsibilities and digital tools to improve transparency and engagement.
• Collect time-of-service payments and meet collection targets.
• Manage clinic scheduling workflows to optimize provider availability and patient access.
• Collaborate with PES, Billing and Clinical Operations to resolve issues and support revenue cycle performance.
• Utilize EMR systems, dashboards, and reporting tools to track outcomes and support improvement initiatives.
