UTMB Health is seeking a Patient Services Specialist I to create a positive patient experience by coordinating clerical and medical activities, handling patient registration, and facilitating access to UTMB services for new and returning patients. The role emphasizes superior customer service, confidentiality, and teamwork across departments.

Requirements include an Associate’s degree or equivalent, basic PC skills, and potential EPIC familiarity; BLS certification must be obtained within 90

Formación

• Associate’s degree required; no prior experience needed, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• EPIC experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire and maintained throughout employment.

Responsabilidades

• Provides high level customer service in all interactions with internal and external customers.
• Interacts professionally with patients, physicians, referral sources, and the treatment team.
• Answers calls with exceptional customer service and documents triaged information.
• Acts as patient advocate and liaises with departments to meet mutual goals.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and secures sensitive information.
