Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a part-time Medical Receptionist to be the first point of contact for patients, delivering outstanding service and supporting efficient office operations. You will check in patients, verify registrations and insurance, schedule appointments, answer calls, collect payments, and assist with MyChart and documentation.

Candidates with 1–2 years in medical office or customer service are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; age 15–17 with valid work permit acceptable per policy.
• 1–2 years of medical office or customer service experience preferred.
• No special credentials required.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and visitors with professionalism and compassion.
• Check patients in and verify registration and insurance information.
• Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments.
• Answer phones, respond to inquiries, and route messages appropriately.
• Collect payments and support accurate billing processes.
• Assist with patient communications, paperwork, and MyChart support.
• Maintain patient records and day-to-day office operations.
• Partner with providers and clinical staff to ensure a smooth patient experience.
