Job summary

Ventura County is seeking a Patient Experience Liaison to connect patients, visitors and hospital staff, support lobby information services, and assist with check‑in kiosks to improve throughput and patient experience.

The role emphasizes empathy, professional conduct, and teamwork in a fast-paced hospital environment, with opportunities to participate in incident response and registration accuracy reviews.

Qualifications

• Six (6) months of paid and/or volunteer clerical experience in a medical or mental health service delivery office environment or certificate from an approved medical assistant training program.
• Strong customer service and communication skills are essential.
• Proficiency with electronic kiosks and registration processes is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary liaison between lobby information desk, security, admitting staff, and outpatient departments to ensure smooth communication.
• Oversee operation of the QLess kiosk and lobby check‑in processes to support accurate patient registration.
• Receive and coordinate patients, vendors, law enforcement, and visitors per hospital policy.
• Support patient flow by guiding patients to procedures and ensuring timely arrival.
