Qualifications

• 1+ year in a customer- or patient-facing role.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks while staying organized.
• Comfortable communicating on the phone and handling upset callers with patience.
• Basic computer proficiency; willing to learn scheduling software and EMR navigation.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming, professional first impression for patients, visitors, and referral sources.
• Manage front desk operations including patient check-in, check-out, scheduling, insurance verification/authorization, and phone calls.
• Review, schedule, and follow up on incoming referrals by gathering information and updating patient records.
• Keep patient flow and schedules moving by confirming appointments and handling waitlists.
• Collect copays, balances, and other payments accurately and professionally.
• Protect patient privacy and uphold HIPAA standards in front desk interactions.
