Job summary

Oak Street Health is seeking a Welcome Coordinator to create a warm, organized first impression for patients and guests. This role supports front-desk operations, coordinates schedules, and ensures smooth clinic flow while upholding our patient-first culture.

The Welcome Coordinator works within the Service Team, reports to the Practice Manager, and may travel to nearby centers to assist in delivering exceptional patient experiences across the region.

Qualifications

• Strong computer skills and knowledge of Google Suite.
• Professional phone etiquette in a healthcare setting.
• Fluency in Spanish, Polish, Russian, or other languages spoken by communities we serve.
• US work authorization is required.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming patients and guests.
• Check-in patients and assist with required forms.
• Collect co-pays from patients.
• Update patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Schedule and reschedule appointments in the EMR system.
• Manage phone lines, take messages, and make outbound calls as needed.
• Handle faxes in the electronic fax system.
• Maintain cleanliness of the Welcome and Community Room areas.
• Be prepared to float to other centers in the region.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
