Job summary

Oak Street Health in Elizabeth, NJ is seeking a Welcome Coordinator to create an inclusive environment for patients and visitors. This role acts as the face of the clinic, handling check-in, scheduling, data updates, and coordinating across reception tasks to ensure a smooth patient experience.

The position reports to the Practice Manager and requires strong computer skills, basic Google Suite knowledge, and excellent phone etiquette.

Qualifications

• Strong computer skills and basic knowledge of Google Suite.
• Professional phone etiquette required.
• Fluency in Spanish, Polish, Russian, or other languages spoken by the communities served.
• US work authorization required.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming patients and guests.
• Conducting visit check-in and assisting patients with required forms.
• Collecting co-pays.
• Updating patient information in the electronic medical record platform.
• Scheduling/rescheduling appointments within the EMR platform.
• Managing phone lines: answer, take messages, and make outbound calls as instructed.
• Managing faxes in the electronic fax platform.
• Maintaining cleanliness of Welcome and Community Room areas.
• May be required to float to other centers in the region on an infrequent basis.
• Other duties as assigned.
