Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• 0–2 years of experience in a customer service role is required.
• Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
• Bilingual abilities are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and guests upon arrival and confirms identity.
• Informs patients about visit details and delays.
• Checks patients in and out of appointments as directed.
• Updates patient Identification and demographic/insurance information.
• Completes patient registration as needed.
• Obtains patient consents/authorizations.
• Collects co-payments and other payments; posts them and closes the end of day cash drawer.
• Keeps waiting area clean and comfortable.
• Schedules appointments as necessary.
• For ICC roles, may float to other ICCs/departments.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
