Job summary

Integrity Care Group is seeking a Patient Service Specialist to manage front desk operations, greet patients, verify registrations and insurance, collect co-pays, and ensure patient confidentiality at all times. The role emphasizes accuracy in data entry, adherence to HIPAA, and excellent customer service in a busy clinic environment.

The position requires 1–3 years of medical office experience, a High School Diploma or equivalent (Associates preferred), and current BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associates degree preferred.
• Knowledge of medical coding and billing.
• Understanding of state and federal regulations including OSHA, HIPAA, blood-borne pathogens.
• Competent with common PC applications including Internet, Email, and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to supervise, train, and evaluate staff.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients in a polite, prompt, and helpful manner.
• Obtains registration data, insurance information, and photo ID at each encounter.
• Promptly and accurately enters patient data into the computer system.
• Verifies patient’s insurance; collect co-pays, co-insurance, and deductibles.
• Follows HIPAA guidelines and maintains confidentiality of patient, staff, and physician information.
• Balances daily charges and safeguards money received.
• Manages patient charts and arranges referrals as needed.
• Assists staff in scheduling and following up on provider referrals.
• Keeps lobby clean and stocked with necessary items.
• Seeks methods to minimize financial risk and supports auditing for compliance.
• Other duties as assigned; safety-sensitive and confidential position.
