Patriot Urgent Care in Laurel, MD is seeking a Front Desk Receptionist to provide exceptional patient greeting, insurance verification, and clerical support for clinical staff. You will be the first point of contact, ensuring a smooth patient flow and accurate data entry.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of front desk healthcare experience, strong customer service skills, and the ability to assist patients with mobility needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of reception/front desk experience in healthcare preferred.
• Customer service experience in a healthcare outpatient setting preferred.
• Able to work up to 12-hour shifts during the week or weekend as needed.
• Able to assist patients with ambulatory difficulties, including wheelchairs.
• Detail-oriented with strong interpersonal communication.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in a friendly, helpful manner.
• Check in patients, verify insurances, update patient data, collect copays.
• Act as a patient advocate coordinating with clinicians and providers.
• Answer incoming calls promptly.
• Maintain a neat, orderly waiting area.
• Assist patients with ambulatory needs, including wheelchairs."
• Handle opening/closing clinic procedures and reporting; perform other clerical duties as needed.
