Job summary

UCSF Medical Center in San Francisco seeks a Practice Coordinator to be the public face of the Practice. You will work with administrative, clinical and management teams to support operations and customer service recovery efforts, handling CRM messages, referrals, and billing tasks.

The position requires strong computer skills, superb customer service, and the ability to prioritize in a busy outpatient setting. You will adapt to changing priorities and collaborate with others across the campus.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent with four years related experience; or college degree and 6 months related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Successful fingerprinting and cash collection eligibility if applicable.
• Strong computer skills and experience with at least two Office-type programs (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Ability to analyze situations, prioritize, and develop solutions.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and meet deadlines.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills; able to interact with diverse patients.

Responsibilities

• Represent the administrative team as the public face of the Practice.
• Support practice operations and customer service recovery efforts.
• Handle CRM messages, telephone encounters, referrals, and billing support.
• Maintain routine clerical operations and communications per standards.
