Job summary

UCSF Medical Center seeks a Practice Coordinator 3 to serve as the public face of the practice and to support operations and customer service recovery. The role involves handling CRM messages, telephone encounters, referrals, and billing, while maintaining clerical operations and communications per UCSF standards.

The PC 3 collaborates with administrative, clinical, and management teams to ensure efficient patient flow and accurate information exchange between departments across UCSF campuses.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent with four years related experience; or college degree and 6 months related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Pass fingerprinting and is approved to be a cash collector if applicable
• Strong computer skills with at least two Office-type programs; ability to navigate multiple patient records systems
• Ability to analyze, prioritize, and develop solutions; work with minimal supervision
• Excellent customer service and communication skills, both on the phone and in person
• Proven administrative/office coordination skills and knowledge of medical terminology

Responsibilities

• Manage CRM messages, telephone encounters, referrals, and referrals workflows
• Handle APeX in-baskets, scanning, filing, authorizations, and billing support
• Maintain routine clerical operations and communications per UCSF standards
• Adhere to House and Telephone Standards and support patient and staff needs
• Collaborate with administrative, clinical and management teams to support operations
