Job summary

AEG Vision is seeking an Optician to deliver expert eyewear solutions and outstanding patient care on-site in Houston. You will guide patients through frame and lens selection, ensure accurate measurements, and dispense eyewear with attention to fit and comfort.

Responsibilities include educating patients on products, insurance, warranties, and service options while maintaining quality, HIPAA-compliant records in the EHR system. Join a team committed to service excellence and professional growth.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• Minimum of one-year experience as an Optician preferred.
• Experience with HIPAA preferred.
• PC skills: MS Office, Windows, word processing.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Excellent customer service and sales experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care.
• Assist patients in selecting frames, lenses, and treatments based on prescription, lifestyle and style.
• Explain products, services, and insurance coverage to patients.
• Take and verify measurements, ensure proper frame fit and lens dispensing.
• Enter prescription data into EHR/ALE and manage order status communications.
• Perform eyewear adjustments and repairs for comfort and accuracy.
