Job summary

AEG Vision is looking for an Optician to provide expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care. You will assist patients in selecting frames and lenses, ensure proper fit, and translate prescriptions into accurate dispensing.

You’ll interact with technicians and doctors to deliver a seamless patient experience, maintain EHR records, and stay current on products, insurance, and warranties. A strong focus on service and accuracy is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• Experience as an Optician preferred; HIPAA knowledge a plus.
• Excellent customer service and sales skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in selecting frames, lenses, and accessories.
• Interpret prescriptions written by Optometrists and Ophthalmologists.
• Enter all prescription information into the EHR/ALE system and maintain documentation.
• Dispense glasses, adjust fit, and verify visual acuity and comfort.
• Educate patients on lens options, warranties, and care.
