Job summary

AEG Vision is seeking an Optician to provide expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care. You will assist patients in selecting frames, lenses, and treatments, ensure proper frame fit, and accurately dispense eyewear with a focus on quality and satisfaction.

The role requires strong customer service, effective communication, and proficiency with EHR/ALE data entry. This is a full-time, on-site position with benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• Minimum of one year experience as an Optician preferred.
• HIPAA experience preferred.
• PC skills including MS Office & Windows.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal & written communication and customer service.
• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.

Responsibilities

• Delivers an extraordinary patient experience with tailored product recommendations.
• Assists patients in selecting frames, lenses, and lens treatments.
• Keeps up to date on products, rebates, and lens/frame options.
• Handles patient calls, tracks orders, and escalates issues to management.
• Interprets prescriptions and enters data into the EHR and ALE system.
• Verifies orders within time guidelines and notifies patients when eyewear is ready.
• Dispenses glasses with proper fit and adjustments.
• Uses tools like pupilometers, PD sticks, lensmeters, and frame warmers.
• Communicates with technicians and managers for order status.
• Maintains cleanliness of frame boards and work areas.
• Answers patient questions about insurance, warranties, and pricing.
• Performs other duties as needed.
