Job summary

AEG Vision is seeking an Optician to deliver expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care at our on-site location. You will assist patients with frame choices, lens options, and treatments, ensuring proper fit and accurate dispensing while maintaining strong customer service and product knowledge.

You will interpret prescriptions, enter data into EHR/ALE, and coordinate with technicians to ensure timely order completion.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• Minimum of one-year experience as an Optician preferred.
• Experience with HIPAA preferred.
• PC skills including MS Office, Windows, and word processing.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills; sales experience valued.
• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an extraordinary patient experience with clear explanations of products and services.
• Assist patients in choosing frames, lenses, and treatments based on prescription, lifestyle, and personal style.
• Stay current on product lines, rebates, and lens options.
• Take and relay patient order status and resolve issues with management if needed.
• Instruct patients on eyewear care, warranties, and coverage options.
• Interpret prescriptions and enter data into the EHR and ALE systems.
• Ensure proper fit and adjust eyewear for comfort and acuity.
• Collaborate with technicians and managers to provide complete patient care.
• Inspect final products for quality and maintain clean, organized work areas.
