Job summary

VillageMD in New Jersey is seeking a dedicated phlebotomist to join our satellite labs. You will perform blood draws, ensure proper specimen handling, and collaborate with LIS for timely, accurate results.

Travel to satellite locations is required as needed. A high school diploma is required, with 2+ years of phlebotomy experience; Phlebotomy Technician Certification (NHA) preferred and knowledge of HIPAA guidelines is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Phlebotomy Technician Certification (NHA) preferred.
• CLA Certification preferred; knowledge of lab terminology and HIPAA guidelines required.

Responsibilities

• Draw blood cultures using aseptic technique and process specimens per SOP.
• Prepare collection containers with preservatives and provide home-collection instructions.
• Operate LIS for applicable tasks and document results accurately.
• Communicate critical results to the physician and coordinate with courier for satellite pickups.
• Train new staff on phlebotomy procedures and lab policies.
