VillageMD is seeking a qualified Phlebotomy Technician to join our clinical operations in Clifton, NJ. The role involves aseptic blood culture collection, processing specimens, and handling domestic patient samples across satellite locations.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, at least 2 years of phlebotomy experience, and familiarity with LIS and HIPAA requirements. Travel to satellite locations and rotating shifts may be required.

Competenze

High school diploma or equivalent required.
2 years phlebotomy experience required.
Phlebotomy Technician Certification through the NHA preferred; may be required for locations.
CLA Certificate preferred.
Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines and laboratory requirements; phlebotomy techniques for adult, pediatric, geriatric patients.

Mansioni

Uses aseptic technique to draw blood cultures.
Processes Stat specimens per SOP.
Prepares collection containers and provides home collection instructions.
Collects COC Urine Drug Screen and H. pylori Breath test.
Handles orders for minors; documents appropriately.
Manages paperwork and labeling for specimens and ensures accurate patient charges.
Recalls patients for follow-up procedures as needed.
Uses LIS to perform duties; adheres to downtime procedures.
Adapts work schedule to meet staffing needs.
