VillageMD seeks a phlebotomist to perform blood collection in a fast-paced lab setting across satellite and main labs. You will handle blood cultures, Stat specimens, home collection instructions, and rapid tests while maintaining accuracy and patient care.

Responsibilities include inventory, scheduling, and documenting results in LIS with emphasis on safety, quality, and teamwork. Evening and travel between satellite locations may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate/GED required. Vocational / Technical School / Diploma Program preferred.
• 0-1 years experience. 2-4 years preferred.
• HeartSaver or Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers required.
• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing required.
• Strong customer service, interpersonal, communication, and team player skills required.
• Ability to work with high degree of accuracy required.
• One (1) year of previous receptionist experience preferred.
• Experience in patient scheduling and orders management skills preferred. Knowledge of Application software for patient scheduling and orders management preferred.
• Experience with Standard Office Equipment (Phone, Fax, Copy Machine, Scanner, Email/Voice Mail, label printer) preferred.
• Experience with Standard Office Technology in a Window based environment preferred.

Responsabilités

• Uses appropriate aseptic technique to draw blood cultures.
• Processes Stat specimens according to SOP.
• Prepares collection containers with appropriate preservatives and gives home collection instructions.
• Collects COC Urine Drug Screen.
• Administers HS and H. pylori Breath test.
• Handles orders for OVH Blood Bank specimens.
• Monitors inventory and replenishes supplies in phlebotomy area.
• Documents callbacks and charges accurately.
• Uses LIS for essential duties including downtime procedures.
• Adapts work schedule to meet emergencies.
