Job summary

Summit Health in New Jersey seeks a Phlebotomist for our satellite labs. You will draw blood cultures, process specimens, and manage tests in LIS, ensuring accurate labeling and documentation.

The role requires attention to detail, adherence to HIPAA, and ability to work weekend/evening shifts as needed. Travel to satellite locations may be required; high school diploma and 2 years phlebotomy experience are needed, with certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy Technician Certification preferred; may be required at some locations.
• Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines and lab requirements.
• Ability to perform testing at satellite locations.

Responsibilities

• Use aseptic technique to draw blood cultures.
• Process specimens and record results in LIS.
• Label and transport specimens to main lab as required.
• Assist with Strep/Hemoccult tests and other duties as needed.
• Travel to satellite locations as needed.
