Job summary

VillageMD is seeking a professional phlebotomist for our satellite locations to draw blood, collect specimens, and ensure accurate labeling and documentation. You will support the main lab by processing samples and communicating critical findings to clinicians.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of phlebotomy experience, basic LIS proficiency, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years phlebotomy experience required; drug screen collection preferred.
• Phlebotomy Certification preferred; may be required for specific locations based on operational needs.
• HIPAA knowledge and medical terminology understood.

Responsibilities

• Check-in a patient at a satellite lab and document day-list information.
• Process lab and office specimens for transport to the main lab by courier.
• Notify physician of critical (positive) results.
• Perform rapid Strep and Hemoccult testing in LIS and log results.
• Train new staff on lab policies and procedures.
