Beth Israel Lahey Health’s Mt. Auburn Primary Care is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide high-quality patient care in a team-based setting.

You will support both clinical and administrative operations, helping to ensure smooth patient flow and accurate documentation in the EHR. The role includes taking vitals, assisting with exams, specimen collection and immunizations, and contributing to population health outreach.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor's in Health Science preferred.
• MA competencies demonstrated within one year of hire.
• Basic computer skills and ability to navigate web-based apps.

Responsibilities

• Develops empathetic relationships with patients and families to support care goals.
• Facilitates visit flow, informs patients of delays, updates meds and allergies.
• Assists during visits: obtain vitals, EKGs, phlebotomy, immunizations (MA certified).
• Document tasks in EHR for accurate billing and care coordination.
• Coordinate tests, verify insurance, and assist with population health outreach.
• Maintain clean, stocked space and ensure PHI is used appropriately.
