Beth Israel Lahey Health Primary Care in Newton, MA is seeking a Full-time Medical Assistant to provide high-quality patient care in a team-based setting. The MA will support clinical and administrative operations, assist during visits, manage vitals, immunizations, EKGs, phlebotomy, and entry of orders in the EHR under supervision.

The role emphasizes population health outreach, care coordination, and safe handling of PHI.

Formación

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in Health Science preferred.
• Licensed Medical Assistant certificate or equivalent preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Assist patient over the course of their visit and support timely flow.
• Communicate clearly with patient and team during visit hand-offs.
• Perform MA duties under supervision (vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, immunizations).
• Lead population health outreach and health coaching activities.
• Queue prescriptions and enter orders in the EHR as directed.
• Schedule diagnostic and lab tests and verify insurance and authorizations.
• Ensure PHI is used only for TPO and maintain patient safety practices.
