Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 6 months of clinical classroom/education.
• Preferred: BILH Primary Care Clinical Assistant Training, EMT Basic License, Phlebotomy Certificate, or other healthcare training.

Responsibilities

• Support patient care within a team-based model and coordinate with care teams.
• Assist during visits: intake, notify delays, and update medication and allergy lists.
• Communicate clearly with patients and the care team; hand-offs to providers.
• Perform medical assisting tasks under supervision: vitals, measurements, EKGs, POC tests, phlebotomy, and immunizations when qualified.
• Lead health coaching and population health activities, including outreach and data collection.
• Maintain and stock medical equipment; ensure sterility and proper expiry checks.
• Queue prescriptions and document orders in the EHR; support billing accuracy.
• Schedule diagnostics/labs and verify insurance, referrals, and pre-authorizations.
• Identify OSHA issues and safeguard PHI, reporting adverse events as required.
