Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor's in Health Science preferred.
• MA certification or other medical support certs preferred.
• 0–1 year related work experience required.
• Demonstrated MA competencies within one year of hire.
• Basic familiarity with computers and basic web navigation.

Responsibilities

• Through relationship development and care team coordination, support patient and organizational goals.
• Assist patients during visits; manage flow, inform about delays, document why they visit.
• Communicate clearly with patient and team; hand off to provider with key visit info.
• Perform MA duties: vitals, measurements, EKGs, point of care tests, phlebotomy, immunizations.
• Lead population health outreach and health coaching to meet goals.
• Monitor and maintain medical equipment and supplies; ensure sterility and expiration dates.
• Use EHR to queue prescriptions, enter orders, document tasks for billing.
• Schedule diagnostic tests and verify insurance, referrals, pre-auths.
• Identify OSHA issues and ensure PHI is protected; report adverse events.
