Job summary

Ascension in Appleton, WI, is seeking a Nursing Assistant to join the Float Pool. You will support patient movement, assist with daily living activities, and report health changes to nursing staff while maintaining clean rooms and equipment.

Required credentials include BLS within 30 days and Wisconsin CNA with registry eligibility. This is a full-time role with weekend rotation and pro-rated PTO, within a Catholic health system known for service and growth.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 30 days of hire date or transfer date. AHA or ARC accepted.
• Wisconsin CNA credential and listed on Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry with hospital eligibility.
• Certifications may be required by specific job locations.

Responsibilities

• Aid movement and placement of patients.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living.
• Report changes in physical, mental, or emotional conditions to nursing staff and document records.
• Keep patient rooms clean, orderly, and maintain medical equipment.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

Required Credential(s)

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Certified Nursing Assistant credentialed from the state of Wisconsin, and in Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry with eligibility to work within a hospital setting obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Additional certifications may be required by specific job locations.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
