Ascension Health in Racine, WI, seeks a compassionate Nurse Aide for the All Saints Hospital Med Surg unit on an evening, part-time schedule to support patient care journeys and daily living activities while preserving dignity.

The role emphasizes accurate documentation, timely communication with nursing staff for changes in patient status, and maintaining a clean, safe care environment. BLS within 30 days and Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry credential required.

Qualifications

• BLS within 30 days of hire or transfer date (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted).
• Nurse Aide credentialed from Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry prior to hire date or transfer date; CNA credential from Wisconsin with registry eligibility to work in a hospital setting.
• Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Document patient care journeys and essential observations accurately for high-quality medical records.
• Support patients with essential personal care and activities of daily living to maintain comfort and dignity.
• Communicate changes in a patient’s physical, mental, or emotional status to nursing staff for timely intervention.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized patient care environment and ensure medical equipment is ready for care delivery.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

• Nurse Aide credentialed from the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Certified Nursing Assistant credentialed from the state of Wisconsin, and in Nurse Aide Registry with eligibility to work in a hospital setting obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Additional certs may be required by specific job locations.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

• Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
