Job summary

Ascension Providence in Waco, TX is seeking a PRN Day Shift caregiver to provide compassionate patient care and assist with daily living activities.

You will monitor patient well-being, document findings, and support the healthcare team while maintaining accurate records and safe environments. This role emphasizes safety, compassion, and teamwork in a Catholic health system. Prioritize patient dignity and respectful communication at all times.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• High school diploma or equivalent, or 1 year of relevant experience.
• Professional licensure/certification may substitute education or experience.

• Provide high-quality patient care by assisting with daily living activities, personal hygiene, and safe entry or exit protocols.
• Monitor patient well-being by tracking physical, mental, and emotional changes and reporting key findings to nursing staff.
• Ensure accurate documentation by maintaining precise patient records and clinical logs to support the healthcare team.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
