Job summary

Ascension St. Vincent Anderson is seeking a compassionate patient-care teammate for overnight shifts in a float role, supporting multiple units throughout the hospital.

This full-time position is based at the Anderson, IN campus and requires flexibility to cover nights and weekends. You will help patients with daily living activities, assist with safe movement and transfers, keep rooms clean and ready, and report changes to the nursing team to ensure timely clinical attention.

Qualifications

• Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Education: High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Support patients with daily living activities and personal care, maintaining dignity and comfort during hospital stay.
• Assist with careful movement, positioning, and transfers to protect patient safety and promote recovery.
• Observe and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team for immediate clinical attention.
• Maintain clean, organized patient rooms and ensure essential medical equipment is ready for use.
