Job summary

Humana Inc. is seeking an onsite Medical Assistant at CenterWell Senior Primary Care to ensure smooth patient flow from intake to physician encounter. You will prepare patients, verify medications and allergies, document history, and conduct screenings as needed.

In this role, you will manage the EMR inbox, route tasks to the right teams, and support same-day completion of items to keep clinical workflow efficient. A strong focus on patient education and loop-back communication is required.

Qualifications

• Graduated from MA training program or at least 3 years experience.
• Current or in progress BLS certification (for certain levels or state required).
• Right to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Intake & Clinical Rooming: perform intake including verification of medications, allergies, patient history and screenings.
• Inbox & Worklist Management: manage EMR inbox and routing rules for messages, labs and medication follow-ups.
• Education & Loop-Back: ensure patient understanding by asking them to repeat instructions in their own words.
