Job summary

Humana’s CenterWell Senior Primary Care is seeking a Medical Assistant to support the patient journey from check-in to doctor visits. The role emphasizes accurate intake, rooming patients, and clear communication to prepare patients for physician assessment.

Responsibilities include EMR inbox management, patient education, and collaboration with care teams. Valid BLS and MA training or experience are required. This is an onsite position with full-time hours and benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have current or in-progress BLS certification.
• Right to work in the United States.
• Graduated from MA training program or at least 3 years experience.
• HIPAA & Safety policy familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Intake & Clinical Rooming: perform intake, verify medications and allergies, document patient history, and conduct screenings as needed.
• Inbox & Worklist Management: manage EMR inbox with routing rules for messages, labs, and medication follow-ups; strive for same-day touch.
• Education & Loop-Back: ensure patients understand next steps by asking them to repeat instructions in their own words.
