Job summary

Humana Inc. is hiring a Medical Assistant for CenterWell Senior Primary Care in the United States.

You will be the first point of contact for patients, handling administrative tasks and direct patient care under supervision, and you will work onsite with a team of physicians and advanced practice providers. The role requires completing an MA program or certification, 5+ years of experience with bilingual English/Spanish skills, phlebotomy, vaccine administration, and proficiency with an EMR

Qualifications

• Successful completion of MA school/training program or a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant or 5+ years of experience and approval from Provider
• High school diploma or equivalent CPR Certified
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish - must pass proficiency exam before foreign language communication

Responsibilities

• Perform Clinical responsibilities include discussing symptoms, obtaining vital signs, and administering medications and vaccines.
• Perform phlebotomy, collecting specimens, and conducting diagnostic screening tests.
• Sterilize and clean equipment, maintain examination rooms, and document information into the EMR system.
• Collaborate with Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers.
• Deliver direct patient care dependent on active certification.
