Job summary

Humana, Inc. seeks a Medical Assistant to support CenterWell Senior Primary Care onsite. The role focuses on preparing patients before doctor visits, performing intake tasks, and ensuring smooth clinic flow to enable clinicians to focus on medical decisions.

Responsibilities include rooming patients, verifying medications, documenting history, and managing EMR inboxes. Onsite hours are 40 per week with a bonus incentive plan. Eligible for Humana benefits.

Qualifications

• HIPAA & Safety policies knowledge.
• Infection prevention and OSHA standards.
• Computer literacy.
• Deliver responsive, patient-centered support.
• Accurately record patient care information.
• Apply practical patient care techniques.

• Work effectively across professional teams.
• Conveys information clearly and compassionately.
• Current or in progress BLS certification.
• Graduated from MA training program or 3 years experience.
• Right to work in the United States.
• Work the assigned clinic hours.

Responsibilities

• Intake & Clinical Rooming including medication and allergy verification, patient history, and validated screenings.
• Inbox & Worklist Management using EMR routing to handle patient messages, labs and pharmacy follow-ups.
• Education & Loop-Back to ensure patient understanding of next steps and instructions.
• Maintain clinical flow with same-day touch for all tasks.
