Job summary

Humana Inc., CenterWell Senior Primary Care, is seeking a Medical Assistant to be the first point of contact for patients onsite. You will perform both clinical duties and essential administrative tasks to support smooth patient flow and care in a busy primary care setting.

You will take vital signs, assist with vaccinations and phlebotomy, document in the EMR, sterilize rooms, and collaborate with physicians and advanced practice providers.

Qualifications

• Certified/Registered Medical Assistant and CPR certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• This role is patient facing and TB screening is required.

Responsibilities

• Discuss symptoms, obtain vital signs, administer medications and vaccines, perform phlebotomy and collect specimens.
• Sterilize and clean equipment, maintain examination rooms, and document in the EMR.
• Collaborate with Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers.
• Deliver direct patient care within scope of active certification.
• Follow policies and prioritize tasks with some latitude.
