Job summary

Humana, Inc. is seeking an onsite Medical Assistant to support CenterWell Senior Primary Care. The role focuses on preparing patients before visits, performing intake tasks, verifying medications and allergies, and ensuring smooth clinical flow.

You will manage the EMR inbox, coordinate with providers and pharmacies, and educate patients using loop-back techniques to confirm understanding and adherence.

Qualifications

• HIPAA and safety policies compliance.
• Infection prevention and OSHA standards.
• Current or in progress BLS certification (for certain levels or state required).

Responsibilities

• Intake & Clinical Rooming: perform intake, verify medications/allergies, document history and conduct screenings.
• Inbox & Worklist Management: manage EMR inbox with routing rules to handle messages, labs and pharmacy follow-ups.
• Education & Loop-Back: ensure patients understand next steps by repeating instructions in their own words.
