• Proficient in MS Word, email and Windows data entry.

• Ability to solve complex problems and meet patient needs.
• Ability to work in a high pressure healthcare environment.
• Active listening and relationship-building with appropriate boundaries.
• Attention to detail to ensure scheduling accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Schedule all patient appointments related to treatment and outside consults and referrals.
• Coordinate scheduling with other departments to ensure efficient patient flow.
• Work with patients, families, providers and staff to identify needs and answer questions.
• Update patient and caregiver contact information in EHR.
• Communicate scheduling needs with providers, technologists and nurses.
• Manage and prioritize scheduling requests; triage calls.
• Support department functions and assist with cross-coverage and special projects.
• Assist with training of new staff and provider templates.
• Collect demographics and insurance information for registration.
• Assist with financial clearance as necessary.
• Distribute work to Program Assistant and Coordinator Assistant.
