Job summary

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle seeks a Patient Care Coordinator I to join a dynamic team. This temporary full-time hybrid role coordinates scheduling for treatment and referrals, serving as a liaison among patients, families, care providers and departments.

Responsibilities include updating patient data in the EHR, assisting with financial clearance, triaging calls, and cross-training on additional duties to support department operations.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to organize, prioritize and manage concurrent tasks.
• Experience with Windows-based software incl. MS Word and data entry.
• Demonstrated customer service skills and problem-solving ability.
• Ability to work under pressure in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patient appointments and coordinate with departments for efficient flow.
• Assist with patient registration and update demographic/insurance data in systems.
• Update EHR and provider templates for just-in-time needs.
• Triage calls from patients, families, and referring physicians.
• Support training of new staff and cross-coverage tasks.
