Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking an experienced patient access professional to join our ambulatory practice team. The role reports to the Practice Manager or Ambulatory Practice Coordinator and focuses on delivering high-quality service while supporting smooth practice operations.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, check-in and scheduling, collecting co-pays, entering referrals, and helping coordinate care.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Certificate 1 Medical Admin Assistant Cert preferred.
• 1-3 years related work experience required.
• Experience with computer systems including web-based applications and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and visitors with courtesy and privacy while directing to staff.
• Performs check-in, registration, scheduling, demographic data verification and co-pay collection.
• Schedules, reschedules and cancels appointments; enters referrals.
• Supports patient flow and liaises between patients and staff to ensure service delivery.
• Facilitates billing functions and may participate in small projects.
