Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Patient Access Representative to ensure a welcoming registration experience for patients across in-person, telephonic, and electronic channels. You will handle demographics, insurance, co-pays, and consents while safeguarding confidentiality and guiding patients through the check-in process.

In a fast-paced, team-based environment, you will verify eligibility, assist with scheduling, and coordinate with clinical departments to support accurate reimbursement

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent; associate’s degree preferred.
• 1-3 years related work experience.
• Experience with computer systems including web-based applications and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Register patients for visits and explain registration steps.
• Process co-pays, co-insurance, deductibles and balances due.
• Gather and verify patient demographics and insurance information.
• Schedule, reschedule, and coordinate patient appointments.
• Maintain confidentiality and safeguard confidential information.

Medical terminology

Bilingual English/Spanish
