Job summary

Enhanced Eye Care is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to manage front desk operations, patient flow, and schedule optimization while coordinating with the care team. You will verify insurance, enter demographics into EMR, collect charges, and support seamless patient experiences across visits.

The role requires strong organization, clear communication, and teamwork in a fast-paced optometry setting. Part-time options may be available; on-site work required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer literacy and ability to learn EMR.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication skills with a focus on patient-centered service.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
• Ability to proactively identify issues and contribute to solutions in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to maintain patient and practice confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and act as the primary contact for patient interactions.
• Answer calls, respond to inquiries, and manage emails professionally.
• Schedule patient appointments and optimize provider schedules.
• Execute appointment confirmations and reminders to reduce no-shows.
• Verify insurance eligibility and enter patient demographics in EMR.
• Explain coverage and patient financial responsibility clearly.
• Prepare patient charts and documentation prior to visits.
• Record charges and payments in EMR and assist with billing.
