AEG is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator in Dayton to manage front desk operations, patient flow, and care team coordination. You will ensure smooth scheduling, accurate EMR data entry, and clear communication with patients and providers.

The role focuses on minimizing no-shows, handling inquiries, and supporting a high-quality patient experience through effective coordination and documentation.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer literacy and ability to learn EMR/practice management systems.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain patient and practice confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, customers, and vendors; be the primary contact for patient interactions.
• Answer calls, respond to inquiries, and manage emails professionally.
• Schedule appointments and support provider schedule optimization, including cancellations and reschedules.
• Confirm and remind appointments to reduce no-shows and prepare patients for visits.
• Enter and verify patient demographics and insurance in the EMR.
• Explain insurance coverage and patient financial responsibility clearly.
• Prepare charts and documents in advance for visits.
• Record charges, co-pays, and payments in the EMR and monitor balances.
• Run reports to ensure billing is up-to-date and accurate.
• Monitor patient flow and adjust schedules to avoid bottlenecks.
• Communicate wait times and next steps to patients.
