Job summary

AEG is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to manage front desk operations, patient flow, and care-team coordination. You’ll anticipate needs, communicate clearly, and maintain an efficient daily schedule for high-quality patient experiences.

Key duties include greeting patients, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, and entering data into EMR while supporting referrals and continuity of care.

Qualifications

• Experience with front-desk operations in a medical setting.
• Ability to verify insurance eligibility and patient demographics.
• Proactive problem solving and schedule optimization.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and serve as primary contact for patient interactions.
• Answer calls, respond to inquiries, and manage emails professionally.
• Schedule appointments and optimize provider calendars.
• Confirm appointments and send reminders to reduce no-shows.
• Enter and verify patient demographics in EMR and verify insurance.
• Communicate coverage, benefits, and patient financial responsibility.
• Prepare patient charts and documentation before visits.
• Process charges, co-pays, and payments in EMR and assist with claim prep.
• Monitor patient flow and adjust schedules to prevent bottlenecks.
• Support patient retention through recall and follow-up.
• Maintain a clean, organized front office.
