Job summary

UCSF Medical Center is seeking a Practice Coordinator 3 to serve as the public face of the Practice and to collaborate with administrative, clinical and management teams. You will support operations such as CRM messaging, referrals, APeX inboxes, scanning, and billing while upholding UCSF standards.

The role requires strong customer service, communication skills, and the ability to problem-solve in a fast-paced outpatient setting. Travel between UCSF campuses may be required as needed.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalent with four years related experience; or college degree and 6 months related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Successfully passes fingerprinting protocol and is approved to be a cash collector if applicable.
• Strong computer skills, including basic keyboarding, and experience with Outlook, Word and Excel; navigate multiple patient records systems.
• Excellent customer service and communication/interpersonal skills, both over the telephone and directly.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and under deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Represent the administrative team as the public face of the Practice.
• Support practice operations and customer service recovery and intervention efforts.
• Assist with CRM messages, telephone encounters, referrals, APeX in-baskets, scanning, filing, authorizations, and billing.
• Maintain routine clerical operations and communications per UCSF standards.
• Support other administrative team functions as needed and adapt to changing priorities.
