Highmark Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers by coordinating patient care, rooming patients, taking vital signs and documenting in the EHR. You will assist with exams, complete annual wellness screenings, and help with back-office tasks in a fast-paced clinical setting.

The role requires a Medical Assistant program completion or high school/GED with certification within 120 days of hire; CPR is preferred and some travel between locations may be needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School diploma or GED; completion of Medical Assistant program.
• Certification within 120 days of hire is required; candidates must obtain certification within 120 days.
• Preferred Associate's Degree.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate patient care under supervision of the health care provider.
• Room patients and prepare for exams according to workflows.
• Take and document vital signs, patient history, tobacco and medication screening.
• Review and update medication lists in the EHR.
• Assist with administration of screening tools and annual wellness visits.
• Prepare exam rooms and ensure inventory of supplies; maintain sterile instruments.
• Documentation in the EHR according to standard workflows.
• May float between physician office locations.
