Job summary

Highmark Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care in a team-based clinical setting. You will prep and room patients, record vitals and histories, document in the EHR, and assist with screenings under provider supervision.

The role requires completion of a Medical Assistant program and relevant certification, with a preference for an Associate's degree. Occasional floating between office locations may be required to cover patient needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School diploma or GED; completion of Medical Assistant program.
• Certification: NHA, AAMA, AMT, NCCT, or AMCA within 120 days if not yet certified.
• Preferred Associate's Degree.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and room patients in the clinical setting.
• Accurately obtain vital signs and medical history.
• Document patient information in the EHR.
• Assist with wellness screenings and procedures.
• Maintain stocked exam rooms and medical supplies.
• May float between physician offices as needed.
