Highmark Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support Allegheny Health Network in delivering coordinated patient care. You will prepare patients, obtain vital signs, document medical histories, and assist with screenings and office procedures in a fast-paced clinical setting.

You will use the EHR to update records, manage test orders, and participate in annual wellness visits. CPR certification and state clearances are required; occasional travel between locations may be needed.

Qualificações

• Completion of Medical Assistant program or equivalent certification.
• Certified medical assistants required within 120 days if not already certified.
• Preferred: Associate's degree.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate patient care under supervision.
• Prepare and room patients per workflows.
• Record vital signs, patient history, and medication lists in the EHR.
• Assist in depression screening and wellness visits.
• Perform lab controls and instrument checks as assigned.
• Assist providers with examinations and procedures.
• May serve as a scribe with training.
• Communicate test results and follow up with patients.
